The Phoenix Scorpions Field Hockey Club is pleased to announce the 11th annual Cactus Classic Field Hockey Tournament to be held January 20-21, 2018 in sunny Phoenix, Arizona.

All games will be played on Artificial Turf – however depending on field availability and number of teams, a few games may be scheduled on grass. Games begin at 7:00 am each day and will be done by 4:00 pm Sunday. National field hockey rules will apply.

All teams will be guaranteed to play at least 4 games over the two days. Teams will be accepted following the submission of a completed entry form on a first come first serve basis.  The tournament will be a round robin or divisional format, depending on the number of registered teams.

Women can play in the Women and Mixed divisions, as long they are registered in each division.  Youth players registered in a lower division team can also play in a higher division as long as they are registered in each division.

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST:
1 - Submit a completed team registration form along with payment no later than January 5, 018). Registration is on a first come first serve basis, so please get in on time to avoid disappointment.
2 - Have all registered players sign the tournament waiver form and submit with your registration or before your first game.

TOURNAMENT CODE of CONDUCT:
All teams and players will agree to adhere and uphold the Tournament Code of Conduct on and off the field as provided to each team and made available on the Scorpions website.

UMPIRES:
Each team must provide a minimum of one “named” experienced official to umpire games. Umpires must be available to officiate their scheduled match at least five minutes before the start of the game.  An umpiring schedule will be provided to each umpire once finalized.

TOURNAMENT LUNCH AND BANQUET:
Lunch will be provided on both days.  Saturday night features a banquet dinner for all participating teams. The cost for this dinner is included in the entry fee for each registered player. Additional dinner tickets can be purchased for $10 for non-playing guests.  Players must display their registration wrist band to gain access to the bequest hall.  Banquet is held on Saturday night at
Hilton Garden Inn (1940 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027) starting at 6:00 pm.
